There are moments with horses that need no words — a lowered head, a quiet breath, the feeling of simply
being together.
Where the Heart Knows captures that softer side of strength. Rich copper and mahogany tones emerge from
loose, expressive marks, while the gentle eye and bowed head bring a sense of stillness and connection.
For me, this painting became less about capturing a horse perfectly and more about capturing something
familiar — that unmistakable feeling of knowing, and being known by, a horse.
A painting for anyone who has ever loved a horse and understood that some connections are simply
felt.
I believe art should feel - alive, hopeful, personal. My creative process is loose and intuitive: I don’t plan, I respond. I layer colour, shape, and movement until something stirs.
