Sometimes the place we need to return to is ourselves.
Within captures a moment of quiet amongst the colour — eyes closed, the outside world temporarily
silenced.
Layers of pink, gold, blue and soft earthy tones move freely across the portrait, while expressive marks
remain visible beneath. I wanted the painting to feel imperfect and alive, as though all the experiences,
emotions and chapters of a life have left their own beautiful traces.
She isn't hiding from the world.
She's simply taking a moment to listen to herself.
Because sometimes the answers we're searching for have been within us all along.
I believe art should feel - alive, hopeful, personal. My creative process is loose and intuitive: I don’t plan, I respond. I layer colour, shape, and movement until something stirs.
