Not everything beautiful needs to be completely defined.
Unwritten is about allowing a painting — and perhaps ourselves — the freedom not to have every detail
worked out.
Loose lines, sweeping movement and touches of gold hint at the horse rather than describing every part of
her. Some marks are strong and deliberate; others seem to disappear almost as soon as they arrive.
There is something wonderfully freeing about leaving space for imagination.
Perhaps that's why I love painting horses this way. I'm no longer trying to show you every detail of the horse.
I believe art should feel - alive, hopeful, personal. My creative process is loose and intuitive: I don’t plan, I respond. I layer colour, shape, and movement until something stirs.
