There is something captivating about a horse that still seems to carry a little of the wild within him.
Untamed is a celebration of that spirit.
Deep blacks and flashes of light create the powerful form of the horse, while the long, sweeping mane
almost disappears into the expressive marks surrounding him. Against the warmth and texture of the
background, he seems to emerge from the canvas rather than simply sit upon it.
I wanted to capture strength without restraint — not a perfectly polished horse, but the energy, movement
and character that make us stop and look.
Because the most beautiful spirits were never meant to be tamed.
I believe art should feel - alive, hopeful, personal. My creative process is loose and intuitive: I don’t plan, I respond. I layer colour, shape, and movement until something stirs.
